Glass fiber chopped mat is widely used in fiberglass products, composite materials, ships, automotive parts, and construction fields. It can provide strength, rigidity, and corrosion resistance, while also being convenient for construction and adaptable.The width ranges from 50mm to 3300mm, and the weight includes 180gsm, 240gsm, 375gsm, etc.
Glass fiber chopped mat is produced by cutting glass fiber roving cakes (or twisted yarns) into approximately 50mm long fibers, which are then randomly deposited on a stainless steel mesh belt to form a mat. Subsequently, the chopped fibers are bonded together by spraying adhesive or water, or by sprinkling powdered adhesive. After that, they are subjected to high-temperature drying and cooling to form either emulsion chopped mat or powder chopped mat.
