PN2.5 flat welding flange refers to a plate-type flat welding flange with a nominal pressure of 2.5 MPa. This type of flange is often used in pipeline systems with relatively low pressure and is connected to the pipeline by welding to play the role of connection and sealing.
When selecting and using PN2.5 flat welding flanges, factors such as material, sealing surface form, applicable medium, and working conditions need to be considered to ensure that it can meet the actual needs of the project.

 

Material

Materials of PN2.5 flanges:
1.Carbon steel materials:  such as Q235, No. 20 steel, etc., This kind of material have relatively good strength and toughness, and the price is relatively low. For media with strong corrosiveness, such as strong acids and strong alkalis, it is usually not recommended to use carbon steel flat welding flanges.
2.Stainless steel: such as 304, 316, etc., has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for corrosive media or occasions with high hygiene requirements.
3. Alloy steel: such as 16Mn, etc.,  It may have certain advantages in terms of strength and temperature resistance. It has high strength and good toughness.

Therefore, the weld is no longer located in the center of the flange plate but is welded between the two backing plates, forming a planar welding point. The connection is firmer, and the use is safer and more reliable. it is suitable for pipeline systems with high pressure, high temperature, and high sealing requirements, such as in the fields of petroleum, chemical engineering, natural gas, shipbuilding, etc.
